What can I expect?

Services provided at the Walk-in Centre include:

• Treatment for minor illnesses and injuries
• Advice on how to stay healthy
• Information on out-of-hours GP and dental services
• Information on local pharmacy services
• Information on other local health services

Do I need to register?

No, you will not be required to register, although please be aware that our recepetion staff will need to take some general information from you upon your arrival at the centre. Patients can register with the practice if they are resident within the practice boundary.

Is the treatment free?

Yes. The service we offer is complete free and is designed to complement the service you already receive from your GP.
 
Can I get repeat prescriptions at the Walk-in Centre?

Although it is not common practice for staff at the centre to write repeat prescriptions, in emergency situations we may be able to offer patients this service.  
 
Will information about my visit be sent to my GP?

Yes, all consultation notes will be sent to your GP practice within 24 hours of your visit, unless the information is urgent in which case it will be sent to your practice immediately.

Does the centre have Special Needs Facilities?

Rotherham NHS Walk-in Centre has wheelchair access throughout. Facilities are available for the deaf and the centre can also provide translation services if required.
